I had not used in-text and reference list when I wrote papers in my country. They did not consider it as severe mistakes. However, throughout this class, what I was doing was wrong and can be considered as plgiarism, even though I did not do it on purpose. When I was at college in Korea, one of my friend was punished for plagiarism. He copied whole papers on a website without any change. The professor caught his plgiarism and he got an "F" grade for that class; but he was not expelled from the school. In korea, they do not teach about plagiarism much and there are no specific rules for that. The punishment for plagiarism depends on professor's rules. Most of professors give students who plgiarize an "F" grade.

For me, the meaning of issue was not clear. First time, I had thought it was that can be answered by "yes" or "no" or "agree" or "disagree". I am not still sure, but I guess it is something that we can talk and dicuss about. Another difficulty was make my essay from general to specific. At the every first of paragraph, topic sentences are required. I am kind of confusing that when we say topic sentences in the first, that can be too specific to start.

The most improtant issue for plagiarism is how the punishments can be applied to each different situations. It is no specific standard of punishment and hard to give proper ones. However, how severe action was can be distinguish by it was intentional or unintentional and habitual or unhabitual.
