My Personal Introduction:

My name is Eric Benson. I am married to a Korean American woman named Ryo Eun. Together, we have two boys in middle school, Joseph and Daniel. We have lived in Columbus for the past 14 years, now in Dublin.

At OSU, I am presently a lecturer in both the ESL Composition and Spoken English programs. My educational background is in engineering and theology, and I also have some business and residential construction experience. I have studied French, Chinese and Korean and speak a little of each. I became interested in teaching English when I taught overseas in Dalian, China for almost a year. After teaching in China, my family returned to Columbus where I began teaching in 2003 in the composition program and started my master's degree in Foreign and Second Language Education. I hope to complete this degree next year.

I enjoy traveling and meeting people, especially students, from other cultures. I also enjoy the delicious Korean and Chinese food. As for sports, I like to watch college football, soccer, and ice hockey. For exercise, you might see me out jogging or playing tennis.
